Greyhound racing is a cruel sport still allowed in 7 states. These beautiful dogs are tortured every day for entertainment and money. The cruel methods of training include clubbing the legs at the front of the track to make the dog run, electrical fences to electrocute or shock the dog if they fall, etc. Each year in USA about 28,000 greyhounds die from injuries or are killed on purpose when “not suitable for racing.” Most states have already banned greyhound racing. The remaining 7 states that still allow greyhound racing often spent more tax money to regulate it than they get back in revenue. Ending greyhound racing nationwide would reduce government costs and gambling. Most importantly, it will promote humanity by saving many greyhounds and giving them the rights they so deserve.
