The NRA fights gun control siting the 2nd Amendment of the Bill of Rights as the answer to all their arguments.

This amendment was written 200+ years ago after the occupation by the British. Today, we do not have nor need militias. Firearms were comprised of muskets. Assault weapons and high-capacity magazines did not exist.
