End the holiday of Black Friday so workers get a break and Thanksgiving does not lose its meaning

People are now starting to refer to Black Friday as Black Thursday as last year a lot of stores opened on Thanksgiving during the evening. Workers in retail do not get enough time off to spend with their family and they need a break. I believe that Black Friday as a whole should be erased from the American society because it defeats the whole meaning of Thanksgiving: giving thanks for what you have. Not going out to buy stuff that is not needed. In other countries, people don't even have much to eat, and other countries grimace at the videos of what Black Friday has done to our society. With this holiday removed, a great benefit of our humanity will be restored.
