End Horse Slaughter now. Horses are pets for many people and horses do not deserve do go the same route that cattle travel after years of faithful service. I ask that we pass a new federal law that makes it illegal to slaughter horses for human consumption and prohibits the transport of US horses to Canada, Mexico, and other countries for slaughter. If a horse is unwanted, simply euthanize it humanely, that is much better than enduring pain at the hands of one who can not afford to keep horses. Also, do not allow Valley Meat company to open for horse slaughter and do not allow any domestic horse slaughter.
