We need to regulate international trade and labor laws much more extensively.Lack of true regulation regarding international corporate law have allowed multinational or transnational corporations (most "American" corporations) to abuse human rights by capitalizing on the cheap labor in third world countries, forcing people into inhuman working and living conditions to increase profits. It has also facilitated outsourcing of American jobs. By contracting with manufacturers, call centers, and other business outlets or basing a corporate subsidiary in third world countries, corporations also remove themselves from many/most tax consequences or utilize tax loopholes and don't contribute to the American tax base. Stricter regulation would increase jobs at home and increase tax revenues, too.
