Having learned a bit about fracking, I'm so concerned for the welfare of the nation and the world. No good can come by extracting a precious, necessary resource (water) as a byproduct of another expendable resource (energy, shale energy from fracking, specifically). Fracking into rock millions of years old to extract a (limited) quantity of oil, releasing methane and toxins into DRINKING WATER, and disrupting geologic conditions--we can save money on gas in the short term, at the long term expense of HEALTH. The Obama administration takes health care seriously, so fracking seems so counter-intuitive. Bad enough to fear so many issues we can't control, but our drinking water? Divert fracking industry $ to solar energy development. Long term solution, create jobs, prevent health epidemic.
