End Income Tax for the Middle Class

Created by R.O. on November 16, 2012

Stop taxing the first $75,000 in single income or $100,000 for a family of two or more. Married people can choose to file separately without a penalty and each could claim the $75,000 exception or as a family.

Tax the portion over $75,000/$100,000 at what ever rate is needed to bring in the necessary revenue.

No deductions
No credits
No loopholes

The benefit to the middle class is incredible. In addition the benefit to the economy is awesome as the middle class would mostly spend the money that use to be taxed creating a surge in spending which will end the recession.

The group that would be paying income tax already are paying approx 85% of the total so it would only be about a 20% increase for them and according to Warren Buffet they can afford it.
