End Indefinite Detentions & Respect Human Rights

Created by C.D. on May 14, 2012

The people who were swept up indiscriminately during the aftermath of 9/11 continue to wait while the evidence of torture and forced confessions piles. Indefinite detentions must end and these people must be given justice.

We would have all acts that allow for the indefinite detention of people not engaged in armed conflict repealed or modified as necessary to protect the rights of all people.

We would have the government extend constitutional protections to all people now and indefinitely within U.S. borders or custody, including access to speedy trials, laywers, and courts. We would put an end to torture and cruelty. We would maintain that human rights are universal and should never be suspended or limited for some folly notion of convenience.
