After decades of court decisions further delimiting involvement by non-citizens in the political process, the "Citizens United" v. Federal Elections Commission demonstrates the last substantive defence of the involvement in the Nation's politics of organisations whose directives directly conflict with the nature of the Government and its premise to represent the will of the People.
This proposed amendment to the Constitution would eliminate any question of the nature by which a government of the People, by the People, and for the People should be held accountable and to whom its policies shall be sanctioned and consented to govern.
