End insider trading in Congress.

Created by N.Z. on January 12, 2012

Insider trading in Congress is rampant and legal. This should be changed immediately. It is understandable and natural that members of office have strong ties to business and industry leaders. These congressmen and women, however, must be held to a higher standard when they take up office, not a lower one.
This is especially true at a time when the net worth of the average representative grew from $280,000 to $725,000 in the last 25 years while the average family dropped from $20,600 to $20,500 over the same period (Panel Study of Income Dynamics from the University of Michigan).
The American people are fed up. This is a blatant and direct violation of the laws that every american must follow. It is time for congressional insider trading to end.
