We the people ask the federal government to Call on Congress to act on an issue:

End The Irrelevant and Misplaced Prohibition on Marijuana by De-Scheduling or Legalizing

Created by C.T. on July 03, 2016

The American Government has lied about marijuana for far too long. Let's take a look at the outrageous fear mongering "Reefer Madness" as an example. The results are clear. Marijuana competes directly with prescription pain-killers that statistically kill 100,000 people each year. Alcohol is legal, yet, more people die from alcohol each year than ever for marijuana. This is about common sense. How can the United States complain about how other countries treat their people, when the US has the highest incarceration rate per capita? The US locks up marijuana users for longer terms than rapists and pedophiles! This shouldn't be a fight. This is common sense legalization. We have a right to vote on this issue, so I call for a vote to de-schedule or legalize marijuana on a Federal level.
