Violence begets violence.
The US should focus on resolving the Syrian crisis through diplomatic efforts instead of destabilizing an already volatile region on the brink of Sunni-Shiite war.
The Syrian war is not our war. This misguided sense of liberal imperialism is dangerous and risks igniting greater regional, if not global conflicts and perpetuating atrocities.
The US government does not, cannot, and will not have have control of where these weapons spread after they leave US hands.
These weapons will be sold and traded on the black market, stolen and inevitably end up in the wrong hand's, the hand's of those that wish us harm.
Why, when the allies of the FSA in Turkey, Saudi and Qatar are already shipping billions of dollars worth of hardware, should the US bloody its hands?
