Ask for a referendum to end the J-1 Visa which uses thousands of foreign college students to replace full-time American jobs.
Americans are being stuck with part-time work instead of full-time jobs with benefits and decent pay because employers would rather hire foreign students into essentially full-time positions from thousands of miles away offshore than hire Americans who apply in their own backyard and are turned down for employment. Many businesses and corporations cleverly refer to such employment as "internships" to appear as if they are somehow helping the greater good, when in reality they are helping only themselves (and foreigners who enjoy the difference in currency exchange) by exploiting American workers and jobs vicariously through these low-wage workers.
