Louisiana has a statewide scholarship program, giving kids from low-income families the chance to escape failing schools and enroll in better schools.
Ninety percent of scholarship students are minorities, yet the Justice Department wants to end their scholarships. They're abusing the same rules designed to prevent racial discrimination to force these minority children back into failing schools. This is backwards and tragic.
The circumstances of your birth shouldn’t determine your future in America, and that’s why every child deserves the equal opportunity to get a great education
