On be-half of the citizens of the United States, I petition that the life long benefits that are given to members of congress after serving one elected term cease. Once these elected officials are voted out of office by the people of their prospective states, all their benefits should cease at the time they depart office. These are elected officials and jobs that these individuals chose to run for. They should not be considered careers and should not have life long benefits.
