End lobbying as we know it. Deliver on the promise of transparency.

Created by J.T. on July 11, 2013

In the name of this Administration's promise of transparency, I move that we put an end to closed door lobbying and mandate that all lobbying or petitioning of lawmakers must be made in a public forum such as this—under the watchful eyes of the American people—and that lobbying behind closed doors should be treated with the same contempt and illegality as insider trading in the stock market.

No more secret dealings, handshakes, and backslapping old boy networking. Corporations, lobbying groups, etc should be limited to public avenues of petitioning the government and lawmakers to level the playing field and allow the citizens of this nation proper awareness of such proceedings in order to counter backdoor dealings that benefit an elite few at the cost of the many.
