Some people know of the M4 and the M16, but some soldiers overseas are noticing one flaw; lack of fire power. many "gun nuts" will look at the M4 and M16 and see very versitile and accurate weapons. I see a weapon that can possible not stop an enemy combatant who is determined. Barrett Firearms created a new rifle built around a new bullet; the 6.8 SPC (special purpose cartridge) it and the firearm itself usher in firepower and accuracy. Statistics show 40% greater power at ranges of a 1000 yds. This is substantial in comparison to the M4 and M16. The M4 and M16 contract must be removed and allow an american made assault rifle to replace the beloved weapons. I believe that the REC7 will be the rifle that can be the soldiers best friend and keep him/her alive and also to save ammunition.
