end mandatory Daylight Savings Time and limit the maximum period of so-called Daylight Savings to 100 days.

Created by T.W. on March 10, 2015

Our position is that it is a terrible imposition on the American people to force them to lose sleep, get up in the dark in March, suffer damage to their biological clocks, use more energy trying to see and keep warm, have more heart attacks and just be generally miserable, all for an idea that was lame in the beginning. If Congress believes we need Daylight Savings Time, let it start at Memorial Day and contnue only until Labor Day, so that at least we won't notice. The mandate for Daylight Savings was begun by the Nixon Administration, which relied on a bad study which claimed to show ithat DST saved energy. That study long since was proven bogus, but we suffer ever more due to the expansion of the DST time period imposed by Congress. End this abomination!
