End "marriage penalties" in the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and treat couples equal to single status applicants.

Created by A.C. on September 30, 2015

Modify the structure of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) so that married families are not penalized in lack of tax credits in comparison to the option of getting individual coverage. Treat all applicants as individuals with the option of children being claimed as a dependent by one of the two parents and without consideration for insurance provided by an employer.
Implementing necessary changes can reduce the divorce rate for financial benefits in health care coverage, ensure access to affordable health care, and treat all applicant equal regardless of their marital status.
We must put an end to marital status discrimination in the ACA.
