Americans at home are beaten down by war. It is time for our President to acknowledge the fragile nature of our country's citizens after so many years of fighting in overseas arenas for things most of us do not understand. It is time for our President to bring the troops back home to do the work here in the United States that so desperately needs to be done. For many military families, this is work on their own family unit. For non military families, this might mean seeing National Guard troops training alongside Army troops for border defense. It might mean that as a country, the men and women who join our forces will be asked to once again be the defenders of America. But forever sending troops into countries like Syria, and into regions of Africa is no longer acceptable.
