In Buckely v Valeo, the supreme court equated the spending of money with political expression. Since not all citizens have the same amount of money, this resulted in giving more political expression to some citizens than to others in contradiction to the core principle of democracy that all citizens have equal say. It is also thus in violation of the equal protection clause of the Constitution
We petition the administration to reach out to leadership in both houses to propose an amendment which will clearly indicate that money is not a form of political expression.
Should the congress not act, we petition the administration to reach out the the state legislatures to call a national convention.
