End the Moratorium on the building of new nuclear facilities in America and do like France which builds each plant to exact standards to decrease the likely hood of accidents and inferior builds. They should not be built near oceans and they should have gravity fed water towers nearby in case of loss of power. They should also have a direct land line to another generating plant as a back up power source.
France also enriches their spent fuel rods instead of transporting them through populations or burying them in the desert and makes good economic sense.
