As we are in a time of economic hardship, the representatives of the people should concentrate on what is important to ensure our country's future. NASA should not be able to continue wasteful spending on projects that have no real benefit to our economy. Just as the human body reacts when in times of extreme cold, we should protect the vital organs that keep the country running. NASA has an average of .6 percent of the nation's budget, at which is being used for projects such as Mars exploration or sending men out further than Earth. This is not a necessary function for our country. We have already seen the Mars project fail, at which billions of tax payer's hard earned dollars have exploded into an oblivion. So we ask our representatives, the Obama Administration, to hear us.
