We the people, understanding that we live in a country of diverse ethnic and religious backgrounds, petition that the government of the United States recognize the spoken language of this great country as English and end the discrimination of all people living in the united states who do not speak Spanish.
We respectfully request that the government acknowledge English as the spoke language and end the practice of pressing 1 for English. this practice is not only insulting to immigrants who took the time to learn the language but is a form of discrimination against those immigrants who have not yet mastered English and do not speak Spanish.
