The usage of pink cleats, towels, down markers, ribbons, etc in the NFL's "outreach" to women disguised as breast cancer awareness promotes outdated and misogynistic gender stereotypes. Stereotypes which are offensive to not only women everywhere, but also to all those who don't identify with that or any gender and who may be afflicted with breast cancer.
It's time to end the misogyny and the transphobia.
