End the office of the President of the United States and lay the groundwork for a Directorial System, like the Swiss.

The office of the President of the United States of America is no longer a useful position, and largely serves as tie-breaker for the legislative branch of the government. This has become a disaster since we have evolved into a basically 2 political party system. I believe our country would greatly benefit from a drastic departure of this type of government and could learn from the Swiss how to form a mature, roundly balanced political system.
As the youngest super-power country in the world, we have room to mature, but cannot do so with 2 political parties constantly at odds, whose concerns, even collectively, ignore large portions of the citizens of this country.
