End the one-way trip to Mars. The one-way trip to Mars is aimed to be a good thing, but instead it's looking to be a bad thing. You would have to leave behind everything and everyone that cares and loves you, to go on this absurd kind of trip. And even if you did have a good enough reason to go, which is near impossible, who says that you would like the new life anymore than your old life? You could end up hating it, and wanting to come back to Earth, but other people's pride wouldn't let you.
