End or reduce taxing winnings from sweepstakes or contests.

Created by A.D. on February 05, 2013

Taxing winnings from a sweepstakes win is asinine and a ridiculous way for the government to collect money. If a family who is poor wins a house valued at one million dollars they have to pay the IRS $400,000 out of their own pocket in order to live there? Or a man who wins a "free" cruise has to pay the IRS for the cruise as if it were actual income. Can the cruise be used to pay the electric bill or groceries? Then it shouldnt be taxed or taxed at a rate as normal income.
Stop hurting the innocent people who get lucky and end up with a huge tax burden.
