The company Ticketmaster has an option for ticket delivery and that is credit card entry for a paperless ticket. This is a sad attempt to end ticket scalping but what they don't realize is the consumer no longer owns the ticket, Ticketmaster owns it still. There is no longer a free market to fluctuate the price of a ticket based on demand. This idea has flaws.
Prices won't ever go down, just up!
Consumers won't have the option to go to other ticket vendors such as StubHub to buy or sell tickets because there is no way to get a paper ticket.
The consumer can't gift the ticket because the buyer has to be present at the door.
Ticketmaster is becoming a monopoly for buying and selling tickets.
Tickets are goods and should be 100% owned BY THE CONSUMER to do with as he/she wishes!
