End the part-time exemption for insurance coverage under the Affordable Care Act.

Created by A.O. on November 15, 2012

Many employers are seeking to negate their responsibility to their employees by a massive reduction in hours to avoid a marginal increase in the cost of goods and services.

The goal of the Affordable Care Act is to provide coverage at an affordable rate across the income spectrum. Many of the jobs which will be affected by this change are the primary income for many Americans.

The fines exerted on companies need to be adapted and extended to include those workers, which will otherwise be forced under 30 hours, to achieve the true intent of the Affordable Care Act and more standardized compliance; in addition to, preventing the lost income due to reduced hours.

The fight by corporations against the health and welfare of their labor is egregious and must be stopped.
