We petition the administration to introduce legislation prohibiting the party system. In politics, political parties have been used for years to encourage ignorance of the issues among the American people by providing an easy way out, namely voting for the same party for which you have voted for many years. Eliminating the party system will cause Americans to take the time to learn about the issues and where they stand compared to where various candidates stand. Moreover, this will encourage diversity in our political system. Finally, the end of the party system should bring about the end of partisan politics, the idea that Republicans will not vote for a bill introduced by Democrats and vice versa and the pressure to "vote with the party."
