End the penalty for not having health insurance!

Created on April 09, 2016

I am starting this petition to end a penalty for not having health insurance. There are millions of United States citizens that despite federal guidelines, cannot afford healthcare. I believe it is not the position of the federal government to determine what a person can afford. Under the affordable healthcare act. if you earn so much as a dollar over the federal pre-determined poverty line are forced to pay for healthcare. The healthcare cost puts people below the pocerty line and people are forced to buy healthcare or pay fines instead of buying food. The federal government has no right to tell citizens what they can afford! Please sign this petition to help millions of people get the same compassion that our president is attempting to extend to illegal immigrants.
