We petition the Obama administration to rein in the pharmaceutical industry. Pharmaceutical companies with their supply chain have a virtual monopoly on life-saving drugs and therefore the health of the country. We regulate air-quality, water quality and the energy industry to name a few; to protect the public from corporate greed and to ensure quality of service. It is time for the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to step in and regulate the pharmaceutical industry. Why should the same drug offered in Canada and other countries around the world; cost more in the United States?
