End police brutality with a national standard for police behavior similar to the Uniform Code of Military Justice.

Created by S.H. on November 24, 2014

Military members, due to the nature of their work, are accountable to the Uniform Code of Military Justice - a set of laws tailored toward unique circumstances in military life. This system helps keep the military strong and disciplined, while protecting the rights of the individual and the safety of civilians. With instances of police aggression apparently rising, it may be time for a similar law structure for law enforcement officers. Many cities experience violence and corruption from a few bad officials. These events make the duties of honorable officers much more difficult and dangerous. Since we are moving into an era of a more militarized police force, perhaps it is time to hold them accountable to a more militarized system of law.
