end police brutality. The police are in place to protect and serve citizens, not beat defenseless ones to a pulp.

Created by A.C. on February 06, 2014

Law enforcement should be held to a higher standard of responsibility and empathy. Their function is to protect and serve citizens. There are far too many cases of police brutality, and in far too many of those cases they are not punished severely enough, if at all. It should be federally illegal to commit such acts of brutality. Further, any law enforcement officials who are found guilty of engaging in police brutality should be permanently barred from the force and all security positions, with a minimum sentence applicable to those of a citizen who would commit brutality on any other individual. Police brutality needs to stop, and I demand that it stops with haste.
