Police violence has gotten out of control. Police routinely beat and kill people daily, with impunity and with little or no repercussions. They are allowed to investigate themselves which results in them being found innocent of any wrongdoing , regardless of video evidence and witness testimony. Officers who are fired for abuse of power simply move to another state or county,and continue to terrorize citizens like nothing happened. I propose citizen review board consisting of people who have no connection to law enforcement, and the mandatory use of video and sound records of every encounter. I also propose that senior officers in charge be held responsible as well as the offending officers, a zero tolerance policy that results in immediate dismissal and incarceration for violators.
