The practice of Binding Mandatory Arbitration is being forced upon consumers by corporations in an environment where we have less choice about where to purchase. Because entire industries are inserting these arbitration terms into contracts, there is usually little choice but to agree to them. Arbitrators have financial incentive to rule in favor of the companies, as this will yield further cases. Companies know that by limiting the legal remedies normally available (discovery, appeals process, class action status, etc.), litigation through arbitration will be too costly, protracted, and, as an individual, not worth it.
End this anti-consumer practice and protect our constitutionally granted freedoms.
