End the practice of Daylight Savings Time

Created by S.W. on March 08, 2014

The practice of Daylight Savings Time is antiquated. The reasons the practice started, during WWII, are no longer relevant. Many studies have shown it does not save energy. Furthermore, other studies have concluded that due to the change in our body's internal clocks - heart attacks, fatal car accidents, and job related injuries rise the Monday after the change. Not to mention, it's just annoying and inconvenient. As a country, we should either stay on standard time or go to permanent DST. For safety or convenience, this frustrating practice should be eliminated.
