We petition the Obama administration to: terminate the practice of Daylight Savings Time.
The United States should no longer practice Daylight Savings Time.
Many people around the world have already ceased the practice. In countries that still use the time change, there is often great confusion immediately following the switch. Many people forget to switch the clock and are therefore an hour early or late to wherever they are going following the change. Often times children are dropped off at school before the Sun comes up, due to the switch. The constant changing forward and backward can create issues with our nation's computer systems.
Daylight Savings Time is ultimately the source of inconvenience and confusion and therefore should be eliminated.
