Partisan politics is a problem that is only getting worse. In the 21st century we have the technology to force more moderate candidates to arise by taking the creation of voting districts out of the hands of political parties.
Doing this will force politicians running for congress to be more moderate in their views and create an atmosphere of cooperation as opposed to confrontation.
It is suggested that the federal govt investigates a system that could be used to do this and campaigns to have states adopt it.
Doing this will force our govt back to a moderate middle rather than just opposing sides.
