During the Clinton Administration, Pre-Existing conditions could not be used to deny coverage to prospective customers. The Bush administration gave that back to the insurance companies. We all need health care - especially if we have pre-existing conditions. The insurance companies have reported huge profits, even during the Clinton Administration. Insurance is supposed to help people, not bleed them dry.
