End the private prison industry and its lobby.

Prisons are something that the government is supposed to control, not private corporations. Private prisons are unjust, and their lobby supports any bills that would put more people in prison, increasing their profits. This also applies to marijuana laws; the private prison lobby has blocked marijuana reform because they would lose a large percentage of their prisoners, who are only there for simple marijuana possession. The private prison industry shouldn't exist in a free country like the United States.
