End privately own prisons, remove policy that allow corporation to make profits from inmates. Rehab inmates for society.

Prisons for profit will create an environment for increasing the incarceration rate. Big business will lobby against unfair mandatory sentences that are unfair to poor and uneducated people. Business will bring jobs from overseas because the inmates will provide even cheaper labor.
The prison system should be set up to prepare inmates to rejoin society, instead of them returning to prison. Companies should not profit from the misfortune of people who made mistakes, some who are innocent.
For profit prisons can easily corrupt the criminal justice system by corporations with deadline on production. This is the same as slave labor. As we build more prisons, more arrest will be needed. Let's focus on improving our public school system and make college afforable.
