End the Prohibition on Cannabis/hemp.
This petition differs from Legalization of Cannabis in that it opens up the Cannabis Industrial Age, for mom/pop shops, new industry, bio-fuels, homeopathic medicine and many more areas. Our economy needs this boost. 35% of prison inmates are incarcerated on marijuana convictions. Lets release these domestic POWs, and reduce our prison cost. Then lets used that saved money for education. With the police no longer interested in arresting poor medical cannabis patients, money could be saved on law enforcement budgets.
The War on Drugs is a failed campaign. We have been petitioning for an end to the prohibition for over 50 years. Its time to end this. Portugal, Mexico, Netherlands and Greece legalized, its working wonders for their societies
