We should have the Right to Grow Hemp in America again.
George Washington grew it. The Declaration of Independence was drafted on Hemp paper. It was grown during World War II for the Hemp for Victory Program. You could pay your taxes with it and was used as legal tender.
We import 500 million dollars of Hemp products a year from Canada, Europe and China. Growing hemp could create millions of jobs and over 25,000 new products including non-toxic building materials, automobile parts, textiles, healthy food, body care products, ethanol and medicine. Hemp is a renewable resource and needs no chemicals or pesticides as does cotton and may generate up to 4 crop rotations a year. It could help reverse the green house effect.
Hemp is an American Heritage Crop and we need it.
