Proposed work visas for spouse of H-1 visas should be put to an end. Job Market is already fragile. Employees are already working harder and longer than ever before. Pay rates and salaries are lower than what they were before. Instead of increasing cap or giving work visas government should work to improve the job market.
Companies bring in H-1 people and pay around 50% of existing salaries/wages. This is driving salaries and wages lower in general. Competition has increased many fold in job market. Adding spouses of H-1's to job market would be an insult to injury and make this market even more harsher. This would add a huge influx of job seekers in market.
