We urge the White House to push for states to cease putting funds towards schools that teach religious values as "facts", ranging from intelligent design and creationism, towards more malevolent teachings such as "homosexuality being a sin".
Some of these schools are paid for with taxpayer funds, or benefit from tax exemptions/deductions, which we feel is a gross breach of trust by our various government agencies to allow. Many of the students who attend such schools enter the work force and are woefully unprepared for surviving in a modern day society. This leads a fair number of them to become dependent on public assistance, further draining public resources, in a cycle that needs to end.
