Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) questions, as they exit today, hurt honest Americans who are seeking jobs, even as they harm American companies who cannot hire the most qualified candidates lest they run afoul of EEO "regulations" and scrutiny. EEO questions force people to place themselves in a vague and degrading category of a "race" of people, even while "race" itself is a social construct.
EEO questions, and the screening that results from it, is a racist and discriminatory practice that is beneath American values, and should be ended in order to aid job creation, and speed the hiring process.
If the goal of EEO is to end racism, it is monumentally failing at that task, by the simple fact that it propagates racism by perpetually pushing it into the common discourse.
