Great American tourist locations from Hawaii to Key West have been plagued by ludicrous resort fees. These fees do not show up on initial price searches for hotels making the hotels seem deceptively less expensive than they actually are. Without published rates being accurate, guests are left confused when they are forced to turn over $20+ dollars a day than the published room rate. It's time to put an end to hotel fee trickery and kill resort fees once and for all.
Any fee necessary for a guest to get her key to a room and sleep in a bed at a hotel must be included in the published advertised room rate.
