Many of the existing issues facing this country in terms of corruption and poor consumer protection may be ascribed to the revolving door between various oversight functions within the executive branch being overseen by individual too closely attached to industries that they oversee.
Specifically, we are asking for a minimum of a 7 year cooling off period for any executive moving between industry and government or between government and industry. In addition we would ask for both civil and criminal penalties be exacted for any violating this.
We would ask that an Presidential Executive Order be immediately issued pending Congressional Action.
